The Siemens Triple IR (IR3) Flame Detector (Series 40 / 40I) is a reliable, compact and self-contained triple-spectrum infrared flame detector that detects fuel-and-gas fires at long distances, along with providing the highest immunity to false alarms. Series 40 / 40I can detect a 1 ft2 (0.1m2) gasoline pan fire at 215 ft (65m) in less than 5 seconds. Series 40/40I also has considerable durability and weather-related resistance. Specifically, Model 40/40I-112SF is comprised of the following: 4-20mA (SINK) wiring; a Normally Closed (N.C) FAULT relay, and Normally Open (N.O) ALARM relay. Model 40/40I-112SF has a maximum operating temperature of 167°F (75°C). It is stainless-steel by design, and has a 3/4 inch National Pipe Thread (NPT) Taper. This product is Factory Mutual Approved, as well as SIL2 (TUV) Approved to IEC 61508.
